The motto of Rotary International is “Service Above Self” and in common with all Rotary Clubs, we aim to provide service and charitable donations to local, national and international causes.
|
|
|
Through our fundraising activities we have been able to provide help and support to many needy organisations. All the monies raised attract no staff or administration expenses. We are all volunteers, and monies raised are donated in their entirety.
|
|
|
Projects initiated within the club have enabled us to raise £40,000 to benefit worthwhile causes locally, nationally and internationally and our grateful thanks must go to the people and local businesses of the Cardiff and surrounding areas for their help and donations over the years.

Locally
To name but a few who have benefited from our service and support, they include youth activities in the area’s primary, junior and secondary schools, Llanishen Good Neighbours, Guide Association, Crossroads Young Carers, Ty-Hafan, OAP trips, Message in a Bottle Scheme, Radio Glamorgan, Welsh Disabled Sports, and many others

Nationally
From monies raised we have been able to make much needed donations to Wales Air Ambulance, Cancer Research Wales, Royal British Legion, Edward’s Trust and RNLI.

Internationally
In conjunction with Rotary clubs in other parts of the world we have provided aid to Hospitallers-Romania, replacement ambulance Cape Town, Shelter Boxes, Tools for Self-reliance and provided funds to the Rotary Foundation Charity which helps needy causes throughout the world.

|
The Rotary Foundation is a major worldwide charity which raises in the region of £60 million in any given year. It has been a major contributor to the eradication of polio since 1988 and facilitates educational scholarships and Group Study Exchange visits between countries of the world
